[Book Review] Grandfather’s Will, [Author] Rebecca Lange

A book which delivers the perfect blend of mystery and love, wonderfully-written and perfect for all ages. I had read one of the author’s previous books, “Joining Hearts for Christmas”, and I was eager to see another great book bearing her trademark writing style.

My thoughts:

A horrible accident leads to the death of several people in the family of a billionaire, with the grandchildren – Rebecca, Noah, and Amber – deemed as the official heir. The author has carefully woven the story, so we are led to believe that the plane crash is actually not an accident but a planned murder.

From there, the story gets even more interesting, but I am not going to offer any more details – you will have to read the book for yourself to find out what actually happens. All I am going to say is that Rebecca is in danger, while struggling to come to terms with her past as well. Her happily ever after might remain just a dream.

I enjoyed the story and how the author managed to blend elements of mystery, thriller and romance. The plot is well-constructive, and it is hard not to fall in love with the characters. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested, especially when it comes to Rebecca’s love story. The surprising ending was a nice way to wrap up the story, and I liked how the mystery was maintained until the last page.

Verdict:

The book has everything, offering a story that will keep you captivated. Elements of suspense add to the intrigue, and while reading, you cannot help but to support Rebecca, probably one of the most likeable heroines I have ever met. I loved the duality of the book – a mystery story on the one hand, doubled by an inspirational journey of love and overcoming the demons of the past. Highly recommended!
