A thriller that will keep you on your toes until the very end. The author explores the depths of the human psyche, showing how sometimes people allow the evil within them to win.

My thoughts:

I found the book to be interesting, a complex journey into the mind of a murderer. The story flowed naturally, with the author going to great lengths to show us what it takes to be a murderer. From the detailed description of a writer’s block to the letters the killer sent, we are seeing a richly-constructed universe of writing and crime.

The last thing I want is for a thriller to be predictable. Luckily, the author kept the story interesting, offering us an unexpected ending. The vivid descriptions of the murder might be difficult to bear, especially if you are on the sensitive side. These are written from the perspective of a serial killer, and I think the author has done a good job in showing how such a person would think.

Verdict:

This is a thriller which offers a gripping story with well-developed characters. It has all the ingredients you would normally look for in such a story, and I liked the way the author switched between multiple POVs. I believe the story would deserve a sequel!
