[Book Review] The Chosen Girl, [Author] Kimmey Fitts

A book which presents the interesting story of Eliza, “the chosen”, and Seth, the Grand Prince. A beautifully-interwoven web of romance, marriage, and innocence, with a surprising twist at the end.

My thoughts:

Even though it is a short read, I found the story to be rich in detail. The main character, Eliza, has been chosen to be the bride of Seth, the Grand Prince. This is the role she has prepared for all of her life; now that the moment has come, she feels uncertain: will she have the fairytale marriage she envisioned?

Seth appears as a man with experience, yet eager to begin his life together with Eliza. The only question is: will she meet his standards? I liked how the author introduced Damon, Seth’s personal friend, as a “complication” to the story. At one point, it will be hard to tell who is more in love, but you will have to read the book to find out.

The surprising twist at the end made the book even more worthwhile. I am not going to tell you what happened, but I encourage you to give it a try – you will definitely love the author’s idea of bring the story to conclusion. I found myself wanting more, it would be lovely for the tale to continue.

Verdict:

A lovely short read! I invite you to enjoy a story that offers a bit of everything, centered on the journey of self-discovery of this rather innocent young woman. It will definitely keep you engaged, and the surprising ending only adds to its overall delight.
